Celtic Manor Golf

Website Editor • June 4, 2020
Last week saw the golfers return to the tees and fairways after the Government has eased lockdown here in Wales. Here at Uprise we have printed and installed on course golfing signage to provide the current guidelines to playing safely, but socially distant.

Celtic Manor has been the epicentre of golfing excellence in Wales for the last decade. It held the Ryder Cup back in 2010 - dedicating an entire course for it, ‘The Twenty Ten’ course. The 38th Ryder Cup was held between 1st-4th October 2010 at the resort - being the 17th time Britain has hosted the event. With a nail biting set of games, it came down to the last pair between Graeme McDowell and Hunter Mahan - Europe won the event 14.5 points to USA’s 13.5 points.

The Celtic Manor also built an exclusive clubhouse for the the new golf course - bringing some of the finest food and drink alongside one of the best golfing experiences.

The original London Mint from which the Royal Mint is the successor was established in 886 AD and operated within the Tower of London for approximately 800 years before moving to what is now called ‘The Royal Mint Court’, where it remained until the 1960’s. As Britain followed the rest of the world in decimalising its currency, the Mint moved from London to a new 38 acre plant in Llantrisant - where it has remained since. Being the winning choice from over twenty sites helped bring prosperity and a community foundation to the local area. The Royal mint was opened on the 17th December in 1968 - with the Royal attendance of Queen Elizabeth II, Prince Philip along with their son Prince Charles Uprise have had the pleasure of working with The Royal Mint over the years varying from large volume, premium brochures to business cards. One of our most recent larger projects for The Mint, The Visitor Centre - branding the entire internal space. Updating the external and internal window vinyls throughout the year, it is a privilege to work with this British icon and we look forward to continuing to do so.
